11 + The dropdown menu is in alphabetical order by your teacher’s last name. Type a short thank you note in the “Personal note” section for your teacher. *Counselor’s will not appear on the list. They automatically write a letter of recommendation for you*

18 + The Common Application Carefully read and fill all fields until the following categories have a GREEN checkmark next to them: Profile Family Education Activities Writing TAKE YOUR TIME!!! DO IT RIGHT!!!! All areas with a RED Asterick * must be answered

19 + The Common Application: College Search To add a college under the “My Colleges” tab: 1.Click on the “College Search” tab 2.Enter the name of a school you are interested in 3.Select box next to the name of the college and press “Add” 4.You can continue to add more colleges or view the colleges under the “Dashboard” tab

20 + The Common Application: Dashboard Writing Requirements: Red Flag – Writing is required Blue Flag – Additional details to writing Yellow Flag – Writing is optional

21 + The Common Application: Dashboard Common Application, Questions, and FERPA must be complete before submitting your application.

22 + The Common Application: My Colleges Carefully read and answer each question. Questions may vary from school to school. When the questions in each of the sections are completed the boxes on the left will have a GREEN checkmark!

24 + The Common Application: FERPA Carefully read all FERPA statements. Click on the box if you understood the explanation of FERPA and Press “continue” when finished. Click on the boxes if you authorize and understand your rights. Remember to decide if you’d like to waive your FERPA rights or not

25 + The Common Application: My Colleges Each college has additional requirements that MUST be completed: Questions, Recommenders and FERPA, and Review and Submit Common App. Contact Information, Application Deadlines, and Required Materials are also shown in this tab.
