7 Landforms Of the United States The United States ranks as the 3 rd largest country in the world behind Russia and Canada. 48 states that are joined together are said to be contiguous. The huge urban area that seems to combine in the northeast is a megalopolis.

8 Mountains Appalachain In the east the Appalachian Mountains run along the western edge of the Atlantic Coastal Plain. The Appalachians are among the oldest mountain ranges in the world. They extend from northern Alabama on through Canada.

9 Rocky Mountains Longest Mountain range in North America. Chains that branch off within the Rocky Mountains are the Cascade and the Sierra Nevada's.

The American economy is larger than the worlds next 2 largest economies combined.. China and Japan Natural Resources Fossil Fuels- Oil, coal, and natural gas.

21 Job market For many years the United States was a world manufacturing leader. Modernization/Technology has however led to the creation of more service industry jobs. Service industry means jobs that provide a service. Etc. teaching, nursing, banking.

22 NAFTA North American Free Trade Agreement Signed in 1993 between Mexico, Canada, and the United States to allow free trade between North American countries. Has greatly benefited Mexico and Canada. Not much significant benefit to the United States economy.
