2. “A moment in my tummy…. A lifetime in my heart” People’s lives are similar to a book. There are different chapters to an individuals life. One important chapter is pregnancy. With being an Ultrasound Technician, you can show them their baby for the first time. If they decide to let the sex of the baby be a surprise, you will know through out the whole time. You will see so many different types of mothers everyday. Some are scared of becoming a parent, and you can help make it easier for them. I would like to help young adults to be prepared. I personally have had an experience where my best friend had a child very young and it just makes me more interested in being in this career. I will be researching the nature of work, working conditions, training/qualifications/advancements, job outlook/employment, earnings, and any related occupations.

3.  Working with lots of different people  Needs good communication skills  manage a sonography or diagnostic imaging department  Having to use a transducer, that transmits sound waves in a cone-shaped or rectangle-shaped beam.  Searching for slight visual cues, on a screen, that distinguish healthy areas with unhealthy ones  Using an explanation for all procedures to patients

4.  Physical  Generally work in Hospitals state, local, and private  may be expected to work, or be on call, during evenings and weekends  must be ready to work on short notice

5.  An associate's degree in ultrasound technology or diagnostic medical sonography.  Take the national certification exam given by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.  colleges and universities offer formal training programs that last up to 2 years for an associate's degree, or a 4- year course for a bachelor's degree.  Prior education in natural science, physics and algebra will be helpful. Also this career will most likely include subjects such as patient care, anatomy, and medical ethics

6.  the demand for ultrasound technicians will rise by 44% between 2010 and 2020  growth is much faster than average, and in turn should have a positive effect on the ultrasound technician salary  employment prospects for certified ultrasound technicians are strong  the American Society of Radiologic Technologists takes into account career positions and types of workplace, which has direct impact on income  find employment opening somewhere in Michigan but I would not mind moving out of state for a job

9. With everything that I have gone through with my best friend getting pregnant and having my god daughter Bella, I am interested in this career so much. I look forward to being able to tell the mother and father if their child is a boy or girl and seeing the expression on both of their faces. Another thing I would like is to help give advice to the parents if need it. I am excited to learn what is required for this job. I always wanted either wanted to go into culinary or to go into the medical field, but I have such a queasy stomach around blood or vomit that I thought this was the perfect alternative for me.
