Update – Linac SBK: CDR meeting held – discussions and questions continue but all looks to be on track – Linac LN: Communication between FNAL/Pritel continues to understand the instability on the seed diode causing problems on the fiber amplifier. Internal VC installation readiness review August 5 th. – Linac Modulator: EE Design: build up of 25 cell waiting on strip-line design and fabricated. Long-lead items procurement approval received this week for the 53 cells prototype SLAC is still on stand-by waiting on us to approve or not the the next round of studies. The earliest they can start is in FY15 – Linac Utilities: Dual temp system – preparing bid package for the air cooling unit and installation 55 LCW pump – preparing bid package for pipefitters part of installation. Other trades will proceed as T&M – Injector: Running in dimpled cathode on source ‘B’ – looking at beam variations – Booster Beam: Cogging – Working on tying in additional functions/modules Booster optics software – Studies started last week but did not finish Booster Longitudinal dampers - Working on locking to RF – transfer measurements – Booster RF: Booster RF5 waiting for a girder…most likely use the one from BRF12 – It needs new tuners. Waiting on cones (bottom neck at this point in time) Cavity 20 – final leak check underway. Follow by final assembly and ready for the test stand. Work out test stand schedule (booster cavity testing vs. Recycler cavity test). Perpendicular Cavities – looking at cooling options and testing of new ferrite material Booster Anode Supplies – still progressing – tight schedule with long lead items Booster Bias supplies – Third supply nearly complete ready for testing, Bias 1 has some unknown heating issues, Bias 2 looks good and tested – Booster Shielding: Safety Going over data….working on fixing spreadsheet – Booster BPM work : continue to make measurements – Booster Absorber/Kicker: meeting on Monday to look over issues and some modifications to present system. Modified S12 bellows to allow for offset will proceed

4. Working on schedule and testing: 15 Hz testing and shutdowns (this year and next) Need to verify 15 operations – find unknown issues Full 15 Hz system testing and operations can only begin when all installed cavities have been refurbished. 7/8/2014PIP PMG

5. Recent PIP Budget/News Budget Issues: – Budget meeting today (07/30) Discussed new labor rates Carry-over (Making sure managers do not wait on items till end of FY14!) Task structure changes Meetings to discuss transition PIP to PIP II started PMG – Went well with plans to make it a quarterly event Update of RLS – Some Booster items remain Post-Doc position for PIP – Preparing August visit
