2 The duties of a club member include but are not limited to: 1) Attending weekly meetings as often as possible. Perfect attendance should be a goal of all members. 2) Participate. Participate! PARTICIPATE!!! 3) Recruiting new members. Growth is necessary to remain viable. 4) Have fun! We are very sorry to report that our long time member and friend, Bill Thompson passed on Monday morning, February 4, 2008. He was born 12/11/1923. He joined the Beaches Kiwanis Club in 1951. He will be missed, and our sympathies and prayers go out to his friends and family. Funeral services to be announced. “PASS THE HAT” Stanton College Preparatory School, one of the country’s best secondary schools, will compete again in the two day Florida German language competition in March. Stanton has always done well, brings home trophies and individual awards, and represents the County School System well. This year, every student and teacher is raising money to enable their participation. Please make a contribution to the team. Lea’s Place is a volunteer program, to help the Dept. of Children and Families take care of children who have been removed from abusive/neglectful situations or who have been abandoned. There is a critical need for baby bottles, formula, diapers, lice shampoo, new socks, (small, and med), onzies(2-3T), New underwear (2-3T girls & boys), gift certificates for Walmart, Target, and fast food restaurants.
