It helps one deal with a tense situation work, study harder for an exam, or keep focused on an important speech. In general, it helps one cope. But when anxiety becomes an excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations, it has become a disabling disorder.

5 Panic Attack A wave of panic with no known source. Usual consists of dizzy spells, a racing heart, shakes, cold/clammy hands, and the fear that you are going to die Evidence of genetic influences…however the brain mechanism responsible for this condition lies in the amygdala Copyright © Allyn & Bacon 2007
