2.  Zimbabwe is a landlocked country.  It is located in the southern region of Africa.  According to the latest census, the population is a total of 13,8 million people.  The president of Zimbabwe is Cde. Robert G Mugabe.  It is divided into 10 provinces.

3. History of Zimbabwe  Zimbabwe acquired it’s independence on the 18 th of April 1980.  It was named after the great ruins made of stone called “dzimbadzamabwe”.

4. Harare  Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe.  It is also the largest city in Zimbabwe.  It was previously called Salisbury.

Wildlife and Tourism  Zimbabwe is famous for its rich wildlife and it is also home to the big five.  Tourism in Zimbabwe is an ongoing industry providing leisure and employment.  So many hotels, lodges, restaurants and recreational parks are making it big in Zimbabwe, for example Antelope Park.

9. Transport and Accommodation  Zimbabwe has communal buses and taxis for public transport.  People tent to use communal buses on day to day basis because of their low-cost.
