Effective public speaking involves various elements: Volume- quantity or power of sound; degree of loudness Rate- speed or pace of a speech Emphasis- special importance or value given to something Articulation- act or process of speaking or expressing in words Organization- message should be simple, direct, and clear Word Choice- selecting the appropriate words to convey your message accurately and persuasively An example of verbal communication is saying “No” when someone asks you to do something you don't want to do. An example of non verbal communication is nodding your head. *
