3 Adolf Hitler © 2015 albert-learning.com Life Story Hitler was a very smart but deceptive man his rise to power was more by force than being a favorite in Germany’s eyes until he convinced them to believe his beliefs. Hitler came to power by destabilizing the German society by force with his gang of thugs. The German people thought they might end up back to the days of World War 2. The NAZI party gained a number of seats in the Reichstag but were still a minor party. The president at the time, Hindenburg, unknowing of Hitler’s plans, invited Hitler to become Chancellor because he would have rather Hitler as a friend than an enemy. When the President died in 1934, Hitler wasted no time in taking the Presidency for himself and the NAZI party. Hitler showed many signs of being corrupt, trying to wipe out an entire race being one of them.

Hitler was also motivated by his own self-interest because he craved power and wanted everyone to live like he wanted.

5 Adolf Hitler © 2015 albert-learning.com Hitler as a baby Early Years  Born in Braunau am Inn, Austria, on April 20, 1889, Hitler was the son of a fifty-two- year-old Austrian customs official, Alois Schickelgruber Hitler, and his third wife, a young peasant girl, Klara Poelzl, both from the backwoods of lower Austria.  The young Hitler was a resentful, discontented child. Moody, lazy, of unstable temperament, he was deeply hostile towards his strict, authoritarian father and strongly attached to his indulgent, hard-working mother, whose death from cancer in December 1908 was a shattering blow to the adolescent Hitler.  After spending four years in the Realschule in Linz, he left school at the age of sixteen with dreams of becoming a painter.

6 Adolf Hitler © 2015 albert-learning.com Bad deeds  Racial discrimination. He placed people not in levels on merits but on a racial hierarchy. In that Jews were at the lowest rung.  The blue eyed, blond, handsome, nordic aryan Germans were placed at the top. Jews were indiscriminately killed in concentration camps. He established a criminal state with no freedom of speech or expression or equality.  Women were treated unequally and those who bore undesirable (handicapped, crippled, Jewish-looking) kids were punished.  Those who helped the enemies were humiliated and they suffered. He demolished democracy. Generally saying, he was like a "zoo keeper" who had supreme control over which animals lived in his zoo.
