Claiming God’s Promises
Abraham: Claiming God’s Promises by Faith

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Heb 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. Heb 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

2. Realize God's Promises Are Accomplished Facts.

"(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he belived, even God, " (Rom. 4:17a)

"Whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and precious promises
"Whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and precious promises..." (2 Pet. 1:4a)

3. Speak The Promise Into Existence

"....even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things that be not as though they were." (Rom. 4:17b)

And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her (Gen. 17:15- 16)

4. Do Not Be Moved By Circumstances

"Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall they seed be." (Rom. 4:18).

"And being not weak in faith, he CONSIDERED NOT his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb." (Rom. 4:19)

5. Do Not Waver At God's Promises

"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith...." (Rom. 4:20)

6. Give God Praise

".....but was strong in faith, giving glory to God." (Rom. 4:20b)

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, UNTO THE GLORY OF GOD by us." (2 Cor. 1:22).

7. Be Fully Persuaded Of God's Ability To Perform.

"And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
