1 The necessity of Faith Bro Josphert Kuanping English fellowship 19 th July 2009

2 God is good Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Faith is a risk…based on trust…it is best for the desperate.

3 Jesus Jesus healed only those who believed… Jesus also healed some by His mercy. Jesus is the same Yesterday today and forever.

4 The necessity of faith Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

5 From the Old Testament Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

6 The levels 1. Wish: to long for good things by chance in future or now 2. Hope: to long for good things from God in the future 3. Faith: to expect good things now based on His Word.

7 Faith can be measured Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

8 Faith can be measured Matthew 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

9 Faith can be measured Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

10 Faith can be quantified Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11 Faith can be seen Matthew 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

12 Measuring the strength of faith Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

13 Faith can be increased Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

14 You can choose to have faith Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Acts 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

15 Words release faith Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

16 Faith can bring healing Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 How do we get faith? Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. No Bible study …no faith…the more the Bible knowledge the more the faith

18 Dangers of being faithless Romans 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

19 Dangers of being faithless Deuteronomy 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

20 The three pillars of success 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

21 Our life should be based on faith 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

22 How does faith work? Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love. No love no faith! No love no faith!

23 The pivot of our faith Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

24 Faith is the connector to blessings Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

25 What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

26 How to build your faith Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

27 Faith should have actions James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Read Psalms 47:1Read Psalms 47:1

28 Your Faith will be tested 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

29 Fight the good fight of faith 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Enemies against: Bible, Prayer, fellowship.
