6 Read Space Pup. Highlight the short u words as you read. Gus the pup rests all day. Gus can not rest at night. Gus is Space Pup! Space Pup helps people. "Here I come, " yells Space Pup. Space Pup sees a bus. He says, "The bus is stuck in the mud!" "Here I come!" yells Space Pup. He sees people stuck in the bus! "The bus is stuck!" they yell. "Help us, Space Pup!" "Hand me your rope," says Space Pup. "What will you do with it?" asks the man. "I'll get the bus out of the mud," says Space Pup. Space Pup runs and runs. He gives the rope a big tug. "You did it, Space Pup!" they yell. Space Pup is the best. directionspg2

Just follow me!" The pup led Buck up the path. The pup's mom had a big, pink bus. Tug, tug. Huff, puff, puff. Bump, thump. Bump, thump, thump! I'm a glad, glad, duck. Thanks a lot! 15 Share Your Learning!! Now it's time to share your learning. Call you learning buddies up to the Smartboard. Show them all the learning that you accomplished. Make sure you show them your tree map, your circle map, and the highlighted short u words in the stories. Then show them how to get started with their own learning. Walk them through how to change screens and how to access the internet sites. Then it's your learning buddies turn to begin their own learning! directionspg13
