2 ROMAC  The Rotating Machinery and Controls (ROMAC) Industrial Program supports cooperative research efforts conducted by faculty, staff, and students in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Virginia.

4  Module3  Rotor dynamics of turbo machines.  Optimization techniques in rotor dynamics.  Dynamics of aircraft engines.  Support stiffness effects.  Torsional vibrations.  Module 4  Rotor dynamics of motors and turbine.  Generators.  API specifications for rotor dynamics.  Rotor rubs.

5 Module 5  Squeeze film dampers.  Specifications for magnetic bearing rotors.  Geared systems.  Module 6  Test rigs for rotor dynamics.  Field measurements of industrial rotors.  Use of Rotor dynamic Codes.
