2 Organization of Essays An essay is a piece of writing that is several paragraphs long. An essay, just like a paragraph, is about one topic. There are 3 parts. 1.An introduction 2.A body (one or more paragraphs) 3.A conclusion

3 Introduction paragraph General statements: Give the reader background information about the topic of the essay. Get the reader interested in the topic.
