4 Preparation for Research continued... Requesting Materials  Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. All requests for Beinecke materials must be placed through our online requesting system, Aeon.  Once you have filled out the pre-registration form and logged in, use the "Place Request" link on the left to access the online request form. We ask that you fill out one form per box of archival material.  Material that is stored within the main Beinecke building will be paged when you arrive. It typically takes twenty minutes to retrieve materials from the stacks. Some Beinecke material is stored off-site and must be requested two days in advance. Collections housed off- site will be identified in our Orbis catalogue labeled “LSF- BEINECKE.”

5 Planning Your Visit  Questions about visiting the Beinecke and the online requesting of material should be directed to beinecke.access@yale.edu  Questions related to researching the Beinecke's collections should be directed to beinecke.library@yale.edu
