2. Changing Design Template  Born in…  Died in...  Famous For…  Then Click on Format  Click on Slide Design  Click on the down arrow next to the design you like  Click Apply to All Slides  Delete the heading text and type in the name of your hero  Delete these instructions  Add a picture of your hero taken from the internet or scanned from a book

3. Using Slide Master  Click on View and select Master  Click on Slide Master  Highlight the text boxes and change all fonts: –From: The set default –To: Trebuchet  Type your name in the Footer Area  Click on View and then Normal  Delete the heading and type “Why I Chose This Person”  Delete the text instructions and type why you chose this person

4. Changing Slide Layout  Click on Format on your tool bar  Click on Slide Layout  Scroll down to Other Layouts and select “Title, Text & Clip Art” layout  Click Apply to Selected Slides  Insert any clipart picture that summarizes your topic  Delete the heading and type in “How Did He/She Persevere?”  Delete the instructions and type in how this person showed perseverance.

5. Changing Slide Color  Click on Format  Click on Slide Design  In the slide design window, click on the Color Schemes link  Pace your pointer over the yellow color scheme and click on the down arrow button  Click Apply to Selected Slides –Note: Do Not Click Apply to All  Delete the heading and type in “Did He/She Make A Difference?”  Delete the instructions and type in why your person did or did not make a difference.

6. Changing Background  Click on Format  Click on Background  Choose another color of your choosing.  Click on Apply –Note: Do Not Chick Apply to All  Delete the heading and type in “My Definition of Perseverance”  Delete the instructions and type your own definition of perseverance

7. View in Slide Sorter  Delete the heading and type in The End  Click on View  Click on Slide Sorter  Click on slide 6 and drag it to between slide 1 and 2 so it becomes the 2 nd slide  Click on this last slide again  Delete all the instructions  Click Save
