7 Year 11 Information Evening 2015 There are a number of different intervention strategies that we use: Whole year group strategies. Small Group Tutoring. Tutor Time Sessions. Individual Mentoring. Parent Support Evenings Year 11 Information Evening 2015 Intervention

8 Year 11 Information Evening 2015 Impact Our tracking system will ensure that students progress is measured accurately and regularly. Last year those students identified as needing extra help made significant progress from mock results to actual results. Intervention has been taking place from some in Year 10 and this will support students in Year 11.

9 Year 11 Information Evening 2015 Information Throughout Key Stage 4 subject teachers enter data about students’ progress. This information is entered into our new tracking system which can then be used to analyse pupils’ progress. The key stakeholders meets regularly to discuss the data and individuals progress in all subjects. All interventions and progress is communicated with parents.

17 Year 11 Information Evening 2015  Continue to check the student planner regularly.  Ask your son/daughter to show you their work and explain what they are doing.  Help them to plan their time in the evening.  Know your son/daughter’s targets for each subject.  Ask your son/daughter to give you regular updates on how well they are meeting/exceeding their targets.  Encourage 100% attendance.  Back up any work completed on the computer at home.  If it all “goes wrong” – speak to us!
