1 Topic: A Romance The story must involve a minimum of 3 characters. The story must contain an unexpected "twist" in narration. A “romantic" and an “emotional" aspect must be included in the narrative. At least two distinctly different locations must be featured. The story must accommodate the following items: a love letter, flowers, jewelry and a surprise. A limited amount of text can be used to explain the photographed narrative. (a maximum of 2 pages and a maximum of 2 sentences per page.

2 Narrative Outline The outline must have the following: – Abstract 5 sentence summary of what your story will be about. (This can change later if it isn’t working.) – List of Characters – 15 bullets where you describe the picture you are going to be putting there. (This can change later if it isn’t working.) – Theme What is your story going to communicate to your audience. MAKE IT MEANINGFUL!!

3 Concept Paper (Each Topic Has a Concept Paper) The opening paragraph should be an overview of the purpose of the pa per Include: » The purpose of your photographic story (an overview of the inspiration behind the story), the message behind the story (What does this story mean? Why is it important?), and how you approached the story (an overview of how and why you chose the specific style used in shooting the story – perhaps your personal vision and style as it applies to shooting photography to tell the s tory?) The body of the paper Include: » One paragraph that details the purpose of the photographic story (reason for creating) » One paragraph that details the message behind the story (what you want the viewer to take away) » One paragraph that details how you approached the story ( what was your process) The conclusion Pull the concepts of the body of the paper together in this final paragraph. » Provide a synthesis of the paper in the paragraph ( » Perhaps include what you learned from this project » Conclude with why your story was an important one to tell

4 POWERPOINT Must Have at least 15 pictures. Must tell the story (pictures, limited writing, music) Must set the tone (colors, music) Minimum of 16 slides each topic Must be printed out
