2. Syllabus Prompt What are the key ideas we need to pull from this writing prompt? Assignment Purpose What to include Technology Design and Theme Minimum Requirements The slides in this PowerPoint will provide additional information about each of these components. Our final project will take the form of a digital portfolio that will tell a story about who are as a writer and detective. The portfolio will include the final drafts of all papers, your process memos, and your discussion-leader material. In addition, the portfolio should include four journal entries, four blog entries, and at least four additional course activities that you identify as your best work and that support your story. The portfolio will be constructed digitally and can include images, video, music, or any other component that can help you tell your story. In other words, be as creative as you desire!

Was there one strategy or idea that you struggled with this semester? Was there one thing that you really enjoyed? Was there one part of the writing process that stood out to you? Is there something that you discuss in each paper that is important to you (even if it is not the main idea in that paper)? Was there something about each paper that is different (like form or tone)? Design is assessed according how well the decisions that you made in designing and organizing your portfolio support your claim/design/theme: How effectively does the organization support your claim? How effectively do the photos, colors, videos, or other visual elements support your claim? How accessible is the navigation? Are images, video, and other visual elements cited as necessary? How well does the introductory material explain the theme/image? How well is the introductory material on each page connect that page to the overall theme/claim? Grading Minimum Requirements Include all items listed on the “What to include” page Include introductory material that explains your design/theme Include usable, easy-to- find navigation Grade Breakdown: Portfolio = 800 pts or 80% of grade Design = 100pts Paper One = 200pts Paper Two = 300pts Paper Three = 200pts
