2 The following slides will lead you through the process of creating assignments in Engrade. Engrade’s Help section of Assignments Engrade’s Help section of Assignments has a few help videos and documents on assignments. At the bottom of some slides you will find a link to the Engrade help video/document on the specific topic of that slide.

4 Engrade averages grades based on total points. Therefore an assignment worth 100 points will effect student averages much more than an assignment worth 10 points. Want to set up categories? In your grade book, hover over options and click on Grade Settings Name your categories, weight them if you want, and drop the lowest grade in a category if you want.

5 Let’s talk Attaching Standards to Assignments. If you attach standards you can see averages of the standards. How great is that. You know which standards the students are mastering and which ones still need a little more instruction. Attaching multiple standards to an assignment can skew the results.

9 Pick the marking period and class from which you want to copy the assignment. Choose the assignment(s) Choose the due date Click Add Assignment

14 Create a New Assignment Select A Rubric or Add a New Assignment. The following slide shows how to create a rubric.

15 Here’s what you get if you click on New Rubric Pick the Size. It’s listed as Column x Row Give it a Title Fill in the rest of the stuff. It does allow you to copy and paste Choose the scoring type.

16 Engrade Help Select Use Rubric to the right of the student whose assignment you wish to grade. Select one square for each objective. This will automatically assign the student the number of points associated with that square. Once you select a square for each objective, select Close to close the rubric or select Next Student to score the assignment for the next student.
