8 Hand Drawn Animation This process was used for most animations in the 20 th century. Every movement and facial expression is drawn, then transferred onto film or increasingly onto digital media. Up to 20,000 drawings may be needed for a 30-minute film. Each drawing differs slightly from the slide before. Became obsolete by the beginning of the 21 st century.

There are many different forms of Stop-Motion Animation some of them are: Puppet, Clay, Cut-out, Silhouette, Model, Go, Object, Graphic, Pixaliation and Brickfilm.

10 Computer Animation Animations are created using computers regardless of the operating system or software. 2D Animations usually focus on Image Manipulation while 3D focus on virtual world where characters and object interact. Uses very sophisticated software for both 2D and 3D animations. (Illustrator, 3Ds Max etc). A large team may be involved in the various stages of production - from raising the finance for the original idea, to script development, the creation of animated characters and backgrounds, casting the voices, recording of the soundtrack, checking the design, editing and sound mixing - and the finished product has to look as if it were all made by one hand.
