About the Course:  24 hours-1.5 credits  Lecture, discussion, small group participation, audio- visual, written assignment, class presentation  This course emphasizes: Common respiratory system disease process Nursing care and planning for the client with a respiratory condition Includes investigating treatments, medicaions, and diagnostics/labs associated with the treatment of respiratory diseases.

Evaluation and Grading  Grading Scale for this course: A 90 -100% B 80 - 89% C 75 - 79% D 70 – 74% F 69% or below (75% is a passing grade for this course) Quizzes and Exams (% of total grade) ○ Quizzes: 10% (2 proctored quizzes – 5% each) ○ Exams: 55% (27.5% each) I take home test 1 written paper (Mid-Term Exam) ○ Final Exam: 35% Class Group Project and Presentation
