1 A business process is a collection of interrelated tasks, which are required to create the desired output.tasks Business process can be divided into 4 main areas: Human Resources (aka Personnel), the processes that govern the human factors involved. Tasks within this process range from recriutment, to motivating, to discipline and everything in between. Operational (Productional), processes that constitute the core business and are the primary source of added value. The typical operational process is Manufacturing,.core businessManufacturing Financial processes, the processes that involve the recording and movement of money. Examples include Accounting, IT-support. Purchasing and SalesAccounting Marketing Processes. Ensuring the output suits the needs of the customer & the customer knows about and can access the output. Examples include Research and promotion

2 A business process begins with a customer’s need and ends with a customer’s need fulfilled. Business Processes are designed to add value for the customer and should not include unnecessary activities. 3 The desired output of the ABC School. “ Responsible Outstanding Citizens” Breaking up into the 4 groups (one per process group) identify the details of the interrelated tasks that would be performed to create our desired output.
