The Gettysburg War By: Lewis Parris

Where Did The War Take Place? The war took place in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. In the picture it took place a little bit right outside of the middle of Gettysburg. It took place for three days. From July 1–3, 1863.

Who Started The War? The war was mainly started by Abraham Lincoln. And it was also the North and the South pretty much the whole country. But the South did invade the North. But the North was with Abraham Lincoln they were prohibiting slavery.

Who Was The Leader Of The War? The leader of the war was Abraham Lincoln. But General George Meade had lead the North army. And General Robert E. Lee ran the South army. Abraham Lincoln was with the North.

What Was The War Over? The war was over slavery. Abraham Lincoln did not want slavery any more along with the north but the south did so the had a war. The north versus the south over slavery.

What Were The Main Events In The War? I think that the main events in the war were that on it was a civil war. Two that the war only took place for three days. And it happened to be one of the most important battles of all time. Between 46,000 and 51,000 Americans were casualties in the three-day battle. For the North there was around 93,921 soldiers and for the South there was around 71,699 soldiers.

Was It A Good Idea To Have The War? Why Or Why Not? Some people might think it is good because we would have never stopped slavery otherwise. Some might think it was bad because so many got killed and hurt in just three days. I am personally think that it was a bad idea because of so many people got killed in just three days and the South would not just listen. But most people are on the fence about this.

The Outcome The outcome was the North won. Their would now no longer be any slavery. But the outcome of deaths and injuries was between 46,000 and 51,000 American soldiers. The war lasted for three days.
