5. Edie Edie is a very hardworking and intelligent girl that is determined to go to a very good college(Harvard or Oxford will be ideal) and find a job in the United Nation. The realistic and smart one of the group, almost everything Edie does is related to making her college application look impressive.

6. Crow Crow is a refugee from Uganda that is awfully talented in fashion designing. Her inspirations are strongly influenced by Dior. Her family sent her to London so she can escape the dangers of what her hometown might bring her. Her brother is kidnapped by an army, and possibly being forced to kill other people or already got killed.

7. Other Characters The other smaller characters are Nonie’s Granny, James Lamogi, Grace Lamogi, Henry, Harry, Amanda, Andy Elat, Svetlana, The three b*****,Mum and Victoria.

8. About the Author Sophie Bennett is the author of the book. She lives in London, England with her husband and children. She won the 2009 Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Award for this book.
