1. THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS

2. Joseph and Mary loved each other very much. So they decided to get married. One day, before they were married, an angel asked Mary to give birth to the Son of God.

3. It was time for the national census, when everyone returned to their hometown to be counted. Mary about to deliver her baby.

4. So Joseph took Mary back to his hometown, Bethlehem.

5. There were so many people in Bethlehem that Joseph and Mary couldn’t find any place to stay.

6. Finally, an owner of a small inn let Joseph and Mary stay in the stable of his inn.

7. That night, Mary gave birth to the baby Jesus in the stable.

8. In fields near the stable, shepherds were watching their sheep and saw a bright star in the sky.

9. Angels told them that the star was a sign of the Christ Child’s birth, and so they followed the star to the stable to worship the baby Jesus.

10. Three wise men also came from far away to visit the baby Jesus. They each brought a gift for the baby Jesus: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

11. Although most historians agree that the baby Jesus was born in April, “Christmas”, or the birthday of Christ, is celebrated by most Christians on December 25.
