3 Handbook overview Folder p.2 contains details of relevant contacts in the School Front of the folder contains the name of your Personal Tutor The role of the Personal Tutor is to provide pastoral and some academic support during your time at Warwick They have regular office hours and can help you with your module choices

4 Handbook overview Pages 3-4 of the handbook contain details of the modules you may take in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures Generally, Erasmus students tend to sign up for School of Modern Languages and Cultures modules However, you may also choose some modules from other departments across the University. You will need to contact other departments to sign up for these modules Module choices are subject to the approval of the Incoming Erasmus Coordinator in your section & must also be approved by your home university coordinator

5 Choosing modules in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures You should submit the module choice form on p.5 to the School Office (H0.57) to Catherine Johnstone by 12.00noon on Friday 9 October 2015 Modules may be over-subscribed and you may not be allocated to your first choice module French Studies students MUST follow FR117 Translation for Erasmus students

6 Submitting your learning agreement Your official Erasmus Plus learning agreement should be signed by module tutors after you have been allocated to modules. You should check with the relevant administrative staff to ensure that you have secured a place on the module first. The learning agreement will then be signed by the Incoming Erasmus Coordinator of your host section and may then be scanned and returned to your home university

9 Things to do Complete your University Registration (if you have not already done so) Complete your IT Services registration (for e.mail account and access to University network) Register with disability services if needed (you can also talk to your personal tutor or senior tutor about this) Check/Compile your timetable (blank timetables are available in your packs)

10 Attendance at classes Attendance essential Attendance is monitored closely, and appropriate support offered where necessary If you are unable to attend a lecture, seminar, class or examination, or submit a piece of work, due to illness or for any other reason - notify both the member of teaching staff concerned and your personal tutor and/or Erasmus coordinator If you miss teaching or assessment deadlines without explanation then you should expect to hear from your personal tutor.

Students hosted by Italian Studies and Hispanic Studies are asked to email the coordinators (contact details in handbook) to arrange meetings All students to begin their module choices and to submit module choice form for the School modules by Friday; School Learning Agreement by end of week 3
