5 Mark File A Mark is an Abbreviation Assigned to a Transportation Company Also Called a SCAC –Standard Carrier Alpha Code A Company Must be in the Mark File Before Stations can be Registered © 2007 Railinc. All rights reserved.

11 Route Route Master Defines Revenue Routes The File Contains –Route Descriptions: SCAC for Each Carrier in the Route and the Interchange Points –Identification Numbers: 5 Digit Number plus the Origin and Destination Carrier © 2007 Railinc. All rights reserved.

12 Customer Identification File (CIF) Central Repository for Customer Data –Name –Physical Address –Mailing Address –Corporate Family Structure –Unique Identification Number for each Customer Location CIF Data Must be Complete to Populate SCRS © 2007 Railinc. All rights reserved.
