8 Note: 1.Salutation can be followed by colon (:) or comma (,). The former is used in formal letters, the latter informal. 2.Salutation could be: ① Dear Mr. Zhang (title) ② Dear Susan ③ Dear Human Resources Manager (position) ④ Ladies and Gentlemen ⑤ Dear Friends

9 Some possible patterns:  I am Leo from (/in) the after-sales department.  My name is Michael, working for the ABC company.

10 Some possible patterns:  I wonder if you could help me with my computer.  I wonder if you could do me a favor and have a look at my report.  I would appreciate it if you could send me the documents ASAP.

11 Some possible patterns:  When I run the program SPSS, a dialogue box pops up which says that …  When I tried to open the document, I was prompted that the file was broken.

12 Some possible patterns:  Could you please kindly tell me why the dialogue box keeps popping up?  I wonder if you could help me fix the problem.  Could you help me solve the problem? Your kind help will be appreciated.
