2  In American schools children start at age 5 or 6 (kindergarten).  Kids in America end school at age 18  The normal American school year lasts from the beginning of August to mid June.

3  All students start school at age six in Costa Rica.  Kids in Costa Rica attend college at age 15.  All schools in Costa Rica have uniforms for their students.

4  Takes education seriously.  Kids attend school around the same time.  Some schools in America make their kids wear uniforms like Costa Rica.

5  Pizza, hamburgers, and hot dogs are all American foods.  A popular dish in America is steak because it is very delicious.  Americans also like eating fruit and vegetables to get the nutrition we need.

6  Rice and Beans are staples of Costa Ricans diet.  Casadao is a favorite dish in Costa Rica.  It is made of beans, rice, meat, cabbage, and plaintains which are like bananas.

7  We both eat types of meat.  Americans and Costa Ricans eat fish too!  Also we both have favorite dishes.

8  Americans play video games on XBOX 360 and PS3.  Also we play board games like Monopoly.  A popular way of play is also sports.

9  Futbol or soccer as Americans call it is a popular sport in Costa Rica.  Also they play other sports like basketball.  Costa Ricans can enjoy life without video game
