4 Staff Project Progress Report As of July 5, 2012 The progress report for the Patch Production Network Upgrade will show how the project is proceeding. Progress will show: What changes have been made. What tasks have been completed. What milestones have been met. What tasks remain. The original timeline and an updated timeline.

5 Project Goal Add new department for developing theatrical film production offices. Chuckamania Productions will install network equipment in the building. Equipment will include: Routers Switches Wiring Closet New IP addressing scheme Servers, computers and printers will be provided by separate firms. IPS and Firewall services will be provided by Corero Network Security

8 Changes Implemented (continued) Order of networking equipment in racks Switches will be reversed to a descending order The first switch in the sequence will be on bottom The last switch in the sequence will be on top Patch panels will be reversed to a descending order The first patch panel in sequence will be on bottom The last patch panel in the sequence will be on top Patch Panel Numbering Will use letters for the patch panel Will use numbers for the ports Will correspond to new numbering on wall plates for access ports Changes to patch panel and access port labeling suggested by Raiko Nakamura

Each floor will continue the letters as follows: Building 1 & 2: Floor 1: A-D (1-48) Floor 2: E-H (1-48) Floor 3: I-L (1-48) Floor 4: M-P (Building 1 only) Building 3: DMZ: DA-DP (1-48) NOC: NA-ND (1-48) Example port label: H14 is patch panel H port 14 connected to the port in same building and floor. Patch panel would be in wiring closet 2 of building 1 or 2.

14 Review of Progress The client has approved Specifications Configurations Lab certification. Configuration adjustments to routers and switches will be performed as planned on July 5 and 6, 2012.
