5 attention to.....  People with disability  People with disability need to access the same education and training as others, so they need an early and intense guidance and support in order to enter the education system. While, when they are unemployed, they need information and support about job opportunities to develop skills and competences so they can have a career and job. purpose that is to prepare all students for the world of work  The education and training system has one important purpose that is to prepare all students for the world of work. 8 attention to.....  Colloquio 181  Colloquio 181: guidance interview foreseen by the legislative degree 181/2000 that introduced it as an first level intervention into a several actions of active labour policies provided by PES, aimed at fostering the insertion into the labour market of vulnerable groups. Within the regional framework, guidance interviews are provided within 6 months.  Colloquio 297  Colloquio 297: guidance interview foreseen by the legislative degree 297/2002 that recognised to the Regions the task to define operational goals and guidelines of actions aimed at matching demand and supply (activities as for e.g. guidance meeting in 3 months, labour market insertion, training and requalification). 9 attention to..... key of access  Italy doesn’t hold the “key of access” for addressing all the issues related to CMS for people with special needs, and each context has its own specificity.  Nevertheless, policymakers and practitioners should have a general picture, in order to drawing inspiration from the range of alternatives that have been realized, implemented and promoted in other “settings” in order to reach their own achievement in relation to the different key challenges that they are facing.  Learninggoodinteresting practicespolicies  Learning from good or interesting practices and policies in the different fields and increasingly engaging in international co-operation. 10 attention to.....  CORA: the history of CORA dates back to 1986 when Centers that brought the Retravailler methodology to Italy were founded in Milan, Bologna and Rome. Other Centers were opened all over Italy, both public and private.  In 1988, the Italian Coordination of the Centres Retravailler was constituted by means of a national Board of Direction and a Scientific technical Committee composed by a group of guidance professionals.  In 1992, the association CORA was founded: 26 Centers in 16 Italian regions, a real network aiming at exchanging best practices in guidance first of all for women and then other vulnerable groups. 11 attention to.....  The Centres of the CORA  The Centres of the CORA network propose different actions according to the needs of different targets. Above re- entering adult women, the Centres offer projects for different kind of youth: at school and in transition from school to job, from school to the university, from university to the job, adults trying to change their job; long-term unemployed people, people at risk of social exclusion; immigrants. Guidance and Training  The Centres look like Guidance and Training Agencies promoting activities of guidance, empowerment aiming at re- entering people into the labour market; school guidance; individual counselling; skills and competence balance; methodologies in looking for a job; techniques in analysing local contexts; guidance in orientation to enterprise creation. 12 attention to.....  The Centres belonging to the CORA network have developed local, interregional, national and even European networks that are available to get to the planned objectives.  Thanks to the at local level the centres develop community activities of promotion, produce innovative tools, promote social planning, and significantly deal with the political level. 13 attention to CORA Association.....  1994-95: Project Fasce Deboli – Woman Project  1995-98: Cora was the promoter and the manager of the multiregional project NOW 'Ariane – valorisation and recognition of professional and individual competences of European women – paths identification'  1997-98: Cora has been managing re-entering unemployed women trough the creation of cooperative or mixed societies  2006: Cora is one of the main partner in the European project 'More then one day daddy'  2006-2008: Cora is partner in the TALENTAGE project approved by DG Employment of the European Commission  2006-2008: Cora is applicant of GALAXY project, LDV Concetta Fonzo

Top of the Agenda To ensure more effective delivery of career guidance guidance is a key element in building skills for self- orientation (decision-making and self-directed career exploration); guidance is a key factor in helping to connect school with the world of work; To ensure more widespread provision of career guidance  guidance is offered not only in the context of PES (networking and involvement of private sector)  guidance use of ICT Concetta Fonzo
