2 New Website On April 1, we are launching a new version of our website! It’s yours to use at: www.positivelivingbc.org It’s your source for the most up-to-date information on Society news, special events, services and programs.

3 New Website: Improvements User-friendly layout: Information is easy to find. Responsive design: Displays and works well on all devices. Cost effective: New WordPress format is less expensive and easier to maintain. The new format will save the Society money and improve member experience when using the website.

4 What can you do with the new website? Online bookings: Book your health promotion appointments online. Ask an advocate: Receive advice online from our Access and Assistance Coordinator. It’s searchable: Improved search function helps you quickly find what you need. New Website: New Features

5 HIV Care Registry Our new HIV Care Registry is online and available to the public at: www.careregistry.ca

6 HIV Care Registry The Care Registry provides contact information for care providers who welcome and/or are experienced in providing care to people living with HIV.

7 HIV Care Registry The HIV Care Registry lists contact information for: PhysiciansNutritionists ASOsDentists Naturopathic doctorsPsychologists Nurse practitionersCounsellors Massage therapistsPharmacies

8 HIV Care Registry: New Features Double the number of listings of care providers to choose from. More listings in rural British Columbia. Map feature: Shows the best way to get to a care provider by foot, transit, car. Email and list feature: Print or email a personalized list of care providers.

9 Positive Living Magazine We are launching a new online version of Positive Living magazine!

10 Positive Living Magazine New features: Displays and is responsive on any portable device. Interactive: Swipe to turn pages, tap or pinch to zoom. Completely online: You can share it with friends and navigate to links.

11 Webinars Wherever you live in BC, you can participate online at our community forums and lunch and learn sessions!

12 Webinars Presentations feature knowledgeable speakers, including healthcare providers and people with lived experience, speaking on different HIV-related topics. Dr. Natasha Press at our recent forum on HIV and cancer and HIV.

13 Webinars Webinar participants can make comments, share opinions and ask questions. Shelly T, our health promotion coordinator and Dr. Marianne Harris at a recent lunch and learn.

14 Webinars Check our website’s events calendar to learn when the next lunch and learn or community forum happens. Sign up online: Information on how to sign up for a webinar is included with the event description.

15 Peer Navigators: Online Appointments Peer navigators can assist people who have recently been diagnosed with HIV or are re- engaging with care. Paul S, part of our peer navigator team.

22 Member Survey Results In 2014, to establish the priorities of Positive Living BC’s membership, the society surveyed members on its programs and services.

23 Member Survey Results: Respondents We received 176 responses. Respondents were between 28 and 82 years old, with the average age being 51. The majority of respondents (124) were from Vancouver. 25 were female, 150 were male and one was transgender. Survey results are given as a percentage of respondents.

25 Member Survey Results: Next Steps Based on feedback from the member survey, Positive Living BC is: Increasing marketing and promotion of certain programs Reevaluating programs and services with low uptake Discontinuing some programs with low attendance

26 Member Survey Results: Next Steps Positive Living BC will also use the survey results to: Guide decisions made by the board of directors Guide Positive Living BC departments in developing departmental and strategic planning goals Seek input from membership when further guidance is needed
