2 What three foods do you think that we throw away the most in Britain? 190,00 tonnes, 94% untouched 328,00 tonnes, 35900 tonnes, 49% untouched ¼ of the food that we throw away is still in its packaging. 6 Food Hygiene and Safety Rules of Re-heating Food 1. Foods should only be reheated once. 2. When foods are reheated they should be re- heated above the danger point of 63 deg c, taking care to avoid cold spots in food heated in microwaves by turning and moving the food 3. Foods should be covered and cooled rapidly and refrigerated as quickly as possible below 5 deg c 4. Hot foods should not be placed in the fridge.
