2 Services & Activities November 2006 Join us at the Reserve Center, west of the Base Hospital on Range Road for a free dinner. Socialize with other families of The types of mutual funds, load vs. no-load, management fees, reading the prospectus, and fund objectives are the topics for this class. We will also look at the funds in the Thrift Savings Plan and see how they meet investment objectives and review their past performance. INVESTING IN MUTUAL FUNDS Friday, 3 November from 1330 - 1530 NOVEMBER IS…. MILITARY FAMILY MONTH This annual observance is endorsed by the President of the United States to honor our highly valued military families. Our activities include a Family Photo Day, 4 November from 1000-1400. We will also host a brunch for our Ready, Set Grow group (Toddlers’ Mom group) on 13 November from 1000-1100, Talking Money with your Honey, 14 Nov from 1000-1230, and Thanksgiving Dinner for our Deployed & Remote Families on 16 November, 1800 at the Reserve Center, west of the Base Hospital on Range Road. Call the A&FRC for more information on these special activities. MARKETING YOURSELF FOR A SECOND CAREER This is a “must attend” for those within 1 - 5 years from separation or retirement. Representatives from local and out-of-state Agencies will speak about employ- ment opportunities with their companies.
