4 Local Veterans' Employment
Representatives Conduct outreach to employers Engage in advocacy efforts with hiring executives to increase employment opportunities for veterans Encourage the hiring of disabled veterans Generally assist businesses in recruiting top Veteran talent Provide assistance to businesses in meeting their Affirmative Action Goals LVER staff conduct seminars for employers and job search workshops for veterans seeking employment, and facilitate priority of service in regard to employment, training, and placement services furnished to veterans by all staff of the employment service delivery system.

5 Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program
Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) specialists Provide direct services to Veterans with Significant Barriers to Employment enabling them to become competitive in the labor market Develop job and training opportunities for Veterans, with special emphasis on Veterans with service-connected disabilities Provide outreach and offer assistance to disabled and other Veterans by promoting community and employer support for employment and training opportunities.

9 Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)
The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA, 38 U.S.C. §§ ) is a federal law intended to ensure that persons who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, Reserves, National Guard or other "uniformed services:" (1) are not disadvantaged in their civilian careers because of their service; (2) are promptly reemployed in their civilian jobs upon their return from duty; and (3) are not discriminated against in employment based on past, present, or future military service.

(EFM) Using Career Source Central’s Veteran’s Program, you'll find the resources you need for matching employment opportunities with qualified veterans. One-Stop Career Centers offer a wealth of resources including specialized local Veterans and Disabled Veterans staff who work solely with veteran populations and can provide relevant veteran applicant referrals.

12 Post A Job No fees apply when you post your jobs with Employ Florida. After a candidate selection has been made please let us know the position has been filled. At that time, you will be asked to provide name of the employee, hired rate of pay, and start date. Simply complete the job order form or contact your Veteran Representative or our Business Service Center. Please note that job orders will only remain open in our system for 90 to 180 days. If after this time you are still in need of employees please contact us so we can update your order. Thank you.
