5 TOPIC SENTENCE Every good paragraph has a clear topic sentence, in which the subject is revealed to the reader. Many people do not realize that colors are associated with different things in society.

7 BODY SENTENCES When people are upset, they oftentimes mention that they feel blue. Because of this, blue is a color associated with sadness. Eeyore on Winnie the Pooh is the color blue, which is symbolic of his constant depressive state. Green is usually thought of in relation to the earth. When people say they are going green, they mean that they are using organic products in order to preserve the planet. Green is also the color of healthy grass and trees. Red is a color that has long been affiliated with romance. On Valentine’s Day, many people go all out with red decorations that are symbolic of love. It is also considered a romantic gesture when a male gives a female red roses.

8 CONCLUDING SENTENCE Summarize your paragraph Blue, green, and red are three very different colors because of what they symbolize.
