6 Letters to Coaches Email may be better than handwritten 1 st Paragraph: Introduce yourself and express your interest in the school 2 nd Paragraph: Include something you know about the school. Make it personal! 3 rd paragraph: Ask for more information; Attach your resume; Inform of any upcoming games, tournaments etc.

7 Getting Seen Showcase Tournaments  Coaches Attending Lists Tournaments or games in the coach’s area Game tapes Combines

8 Recruiting Reminders The players recruit themselves Keep in constant communication Spell everything correctly Send follow up emails and thank you’s Students can make unofficial visits at any time

9 Recruiting Reminders (cont.) Official visits can only be made in June or after of athletes senior year Players can email coaches at any time. Coaches can electronically contact players in the summer before their junior year Start early
