Screening Policy - Volunteers are divided into 3 categories; Screening Policy - Volunteers are divided into 3 categories; Level 0 Volunteers: No formal screening, registration or training required; (those who do not have direct contact or supervision of students). Level 0 Volunteers: No formal screening, registration or training required; (those who do not have direct contact or supervision of students). –Examples: office assistants, PTA fundraising, proctors, outdoor projects - landscaping, concessions, school fairs, student teachers/interns under direct supervision of a teacher Cash Elementary Volunteer Training Session

7. Level 1 Volunteers Level 1 Volunteers –Those volunteers who have direct access with and controlled access to students under the supervision of the professional staff. (Ex: Reading/lunch buddies, class volunteers, day field trip chaperones, Wings tutors & health room assistants –Level 1 volunteers will be screened by the VC/FA and must complete the online Volunteer Services Application form (only the section that applies to this level of volunteer)

Level 2 Volunteers Level 2 Volunteers –Volunteers for whom add’l screening is required because they have direct contact with and supervision of students for extended periods of time without direct supervision of the professional staff (Ex: Volunteer athletic coaches, after hours remediation tutors and one-on-one mentors, overnight field trip chaperones). –Level 2 Volunteers must complete the entire online Volunteer Services Application form, providing two references.
