What Russia gas company gazprom who supplies a quarter of europe’s natural gashad pumped natural gas to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines, but stopped since ukraine would not agree to russia’s price. Russians have accused the ukrainians of siphoning gas from the pipelines, while ukraine says russia has been pumping less than it should. However, Russia will start pumping natural gas to Europe again, a week after the gas flow was interrupted. both nations have agreed to have international observers watch the pipelines.

7. How do i feel? I feel great that Russia and Ukraine are settling their problems with natural gases. It is important to get over these silly situations and with international observers i’m sure none of them will commit any theft. I’m glad that europe is back with gas and the economy can stabalize.

8. How it relates the unit we are learning involves imperialism. Countries colonize in different places to get more resources and expand to stay powerful and compete with other nations. Similarly, without the colonizing, europe is in need of oil and ukranian pipelines supply 1/4 of the oil that comes from gazprom in russia.
