9 Goal Setting: Live or Die at 85! Average Percent Correct The most import goal for students is to average 85% or higher on RPQ. Meeting this goal has a significant impact on a student’s reading growth.

11 If a student with a ZPD Range of 4.5-8.0, reads daily for 45 minutes, at 9 weeks we should expect that student to achieve 37.5 points, with a minimum average percent correct of 85%. Million Word Challenge California Language Arts Content Standard for grade 7 & 8 students is to read one million words, independently, annually. That’s approximately 150 AR points.
