2 課程介紹 This course will introduce various issues related to the implications of Internet English learning. Background knowledge of Internet will be introduced. Students will learn how to analyze, design, develop and evaluate Internet websites. Students will also be expected to create an online portfolio for this course.

3 授課目的 The students will be able to: Identify and explain common terms associated with Internet English. Demonstrate an understanding of Internet background knowledge. Effectively operate Email, Mailing List, Discussion Board, and Chat Room. Demonstrate basic competencies in the use of Internet search engines and directories. Demonstrate an understanding of proper Internet etiquette, and the ethical concerns. Evaluate educational websites in terms of appropriateness for ESL purposes. Construct and publish an active online portfolio Internet English

4 授課方式 The course will include lecture, in class small and large discussion group, electronic mail, asynchronous discussion board, hands-on computer-based activities, cooperative-learning activities, and presentation.

6 Attendance As you know already, I expect you to attend every class session and to come prepared. Attendance will be taken each class throughout the term. If you miss more than three classes, your final grade for the course will be lowered. Please remember: if you are not present, you cannot participate, and participation is necessary in this class. I expect you to come on time and ready to work. Coming late to class will lower your final grade.
