3 Stable Food Source Ate bread dipped in wine for breakfast Ate bread dipped in wine and olives, figs, cheese or dried fish for lunch Dinner was main meal Ate vegetables, fruit, fish, and possibly honey cakes for dinner Fish=main protein Beef was expensive Poor could only have beef during festivals

5 Religion Each city-state had god or goddess in charge Athens goddess was Athena Poseidon and Athena both gave gifts to the Athenians, and Athena’s gift was better so the city- state is named after her Parthenon located on Acropolis, dedicated to Athena
