3 Conjunctions Coordinating Conjunction – joins words or word groups that are used in the same way *Hint: you can remember the coordinating conjunctions as FANBOYS Ex: For And Nor But Or Yet So Conjunctions: beans and ricemovies or television Joining Words:sad but trueEgypt, Italy, and Spain Conjunctions: could write or could telephone Joining Phrases:after breakfast but before lunch cooking dinner and fixing breakfast Conjunctions: I wanted to call, but it was too late. Joining Clauses:The deer ran, for they smelled smoke. We knocked on the door, and they answered.
