Officially became a country on January 1, 1993 after the disbandment of Czechoslovakia created two separate countries: The Czech Republic and Slovakia

5 Prague The Capital The largest city 1.2 million people reside in Prague, 1.9 million are in the metropolitan area. The city was founded in 885 C.E. Home to the largest castle in the world. Much of the Czech Republics’ industry is centered in and around Prague. A continental climate with warm summers and cold winters.

8 Slovakia Facts Became a member of the European Union in 2004. Slovakia uses the Euro for their form of currency. More mountainous than The Czech Republic and also has lower incomes.
