1 Roundup Efficacy Trial NC, 2010  Weeds:  Summer Weeds – pigweed + ragweed + carpet weed + crab grass  Winter weeds – henbit weed, chic weed  Products  Roundup 1qt per acre in 30 gallon water per acre  PeKacid – 5 lbs/acre in 30 gallon water per acre (tank mix with the Roundup)  Prolec (surfactant) – 1 pint per acre (tank mix with Roundup)  1 spray  Location – NC, USA

2 Roundup + Prolec+PeKacid RoundupRoundup + Prolec Roundup + PeKacid PeKacid Effect on Roundup Activity Summer Weeds

3 PeKacid Effect on Roundup Activity Winter Weeds Roundup + PeKacidRoundup + Prolec+PeKacid

4 Conclusion  PeKacid added to Roundup increases herbicide efficacy primarily by lowering the solution pH and preventing the Roundup from reacting with Ca and/or Mg  PeKacid concentration tested in this study was 2% (5 lbs in 30 gal), however a lower rate of PeKacid of 0.8% (2 lbs in 30 gal) is expected to have similar effect  Pekacid spray can be considered as double actions: Feed & Kill
