Established April 2000 DAYTON DRAGONS MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

Community partnership between the City of Dayton, Montgomery County, the Dayton Dragons and the Downtown Dayton Partnership business community. Neighborhood was traditionally light to medium industry and suffering at the time from a lack of re-investment Dragons’ arrival was a catalyst for regeneration of the area. The stadium is an anchor for redevelopment that encourages mixed-use development, including commercial, retail and housing.

The City and the County have invested over $15 Million. Dragons have invested over $8 Million in the 12 years since the stadium was constructed. RiverScape riverfront project near the stadium has made significant roadway, infrastructure and streetscape improvements around the stadium. Bar and restaurant business up 20% to 30% for home games.

All 29 suites sold out before the first game through strong business and community support. For the 12 th straight year, the Dragons finished in the top 10 in attendance when they surpassed the 7.1 million mark in 2011. 95% of season ticket holders renewed for the 2011 season. Finished the year with 844 consecutive sell out games. Ballpark Digest named the Dragons as the 2011 Minor League Baseball “Organization of the Year”.
