1 Industrial Revolution Industrial Revolution Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits (Web SitesCredits (Web Sites) Introduction Inventions that Created the Industrial Revolution 5 Tab Book S.S. 10.3.2 Examine how scientific and technological changes and new forms of energy brought about massive social, economic, and cultural change (e.g., the inventions and discoveries of James Watt, Eli Whiney, Henry Bessemer, Louis Pasteur, Thomas Edison). You will be researching the effects that inventions had on the Industrial Revolution and tie that information with general information of the Industrial Revolution during your presentation.

2 Task Industrial Revolution Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits (Web Sites) Credits (Web Sites By researching the following resources found on the process slide you and your partner will create a 5 Tab book on the Inventions that Created the Industrial Revolution. Making the book: Fold your page in half length wise leaving about 1/2inch on the bottom edge. On the bottom edge write “Inventions that Created the Industrial Revolution.” Fold the paper so that 2/3rds are covered, & 1/3 is showing. Fold the 2/3rds section in half. Fold the 1/3 section backward to form a fold line. Cut each of the front fold lines so that you have 5 “Tabs”.

On the front of each tab, on the inventions book you created, draw a picture of the invention. Underneath the tab, list 3 details explaining what the invention did, when was it invented (or who invented it), and how it contributed to the development of industry in Britain and America. Finally: Attach your 5 Tab book to a piece of construction paper that will make it easier to hold for presentations.

Rubrics will be used for the book and presentation. (to include) 5 Tab book rubric Graphics go well with the text and there is a good mix of text and graphics. Each section in the book has a clear beginning, middle, and end and consist of all requirements on the directions. All facts in the book are accurate. Presentation: Students should stay on topic and speak in complete sentences. Students show they have prepared and rehearsed their topics.
