Named in honor of Mr. John L. LeFlore,
a prominent civil rights leader in the 1960s
Opened in January 1981
Graduated its first class in 1981
JROTC Program began at Toulminville
High School in 1969
Designated a Preparatory Academy in 2006
Re-designated a Magnet High School in 2008
