12 THE VMI CADET OATH I hereby engage to serve as a cadet in the Virginia Military Institute for the term for which I have entered. I promise on my Honor while I continue a member thereof to obey all the legal orders of the Constituted Authorities of the institute and to discharge all of my duties as a Cadet with regularity and fidelity. Commands the VMI Color Guard, supervises the Battalion Color Guards Responsible for the conduct of the GIM Formation/Inspection Platoon Accountability and Care of all Flags Gim Formation VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE NCO ACADEMY

27 COLOR NCOs Color Guard Functions to include posting indoor stands, and posting the colors for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. Raising and recovery of the National, Virginia, and POW/MIA Flags VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE NCO ACADEMY
